I have 2 gigs tomorrow. The first one is for CARICATURES. My Client said it's a Communion/Baptism and Double Birthday for his Mother and his Mother-in-Law. Just yesterday, I drew Caricatures at a Wedding, so I feel warmed up for the first Event.
But the 2nd one is for FASHION SKETCHES. Quick presto-changeo. Engagement Party. My Client said it's Harlem Rennaisance Theme, and she hopes people will dress the theme (like I will ~ I already have my clothes together. Fun.). But client said she's expecting that most people will be wearing Bright Colorful Dresses, because they are Caribbean. She said that's what they always wear to the Parties.
I figured I should warm up for that. So I drew a few practice Fashion Sketches here tonight. Focusing on Caribbean Fashion. And I did coach myself to remember a few thangs at the party.
The first picture I drew ~ the one with the colorful jumpsuit/cape.... Took too long to draw/color. Not sure yet how I would handle such a pattern at the event, but it usually comes to me when I wake up in the morning. After going to sleep with the question on my mind. For meanwhile, I was much faster with the subsequent pictures that I drew here tonight.
And I decided that I hate drawing on the Shiny Silver Paper. It was slick, and it felt hard to get the Colors to cooperate. I only had 2 sheets of the shiny silver paper, and it's good that I 'wasted' one sheet by practicing on it. So I won't be dragged down by it during the event.
